Billie Jane "Patty" Hall

A sixth generation Texan, Patty was born in Sinton, Texas on December 1, 1930, to Beatrice and William L. Kring. She was the second of four daughters. Patty was married to Terry C. Hall for fifty years. Patty and Terry met in Houston at her cousin’s house and the attraction was undeniable. After a beautiful outdoor wedding in Houston, the couple went on to be blessed with four children, Terry Cole Hall Jr., Patricia “Pat” Ann Hall, Vicki Lynn Hall Harrison, and Dorothy “Dottie” Louise Hall.

Along with being a busy homemaker and mother, Patty was passionate about her civic responsibilities. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, performed several roles with PTA, served as an Election Judge, served over 25 years with the Spicewood Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, volunteered with the Spicewood Library, was a member of Daughters of the Republic of Texas and the UDC. For all her volunteer efforts, she became a Docent for Texas State Cemetery Restoration and Enhancement, and was commissioned a Yellow Rose of Texas by the governor.

Vivacious and fun from the start, Patty danced to the beat of her own drum. Whether it was engaging with all the kids in various games and activities, many of which she totally created herself, or playing honky-tonk on the piano, the boring standard guidelines were few, and all who were around her were hooked! For example, Patty would often take most of the kids in the neighborhood overnight camping, foregoing any tents or sleeping bags. She fashioned her own versions with rope tied to trees, and blankets thrown over them, and more blankets on the ground! We always had a ball! She also took us “dam sliding” at Mansfield Dam, which involved shimmying up the dam, then sliding down the algae covered shoots to the cold Lake Austin water below… Always illegal…ha ha, but amazingly fun!

With the love of friendship, dancing, music, giraffes, glitter, “creative opportunities”, flowers, and orange, Patty exemplified a colorful life! And she was a beauty queen to boot! Combining that with her humor and her amazingly joyful laugh, she stood out from the crowd (kind of like a giraffe)! Above all else… she loved her children! What a great mom!

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Terry Sr., and her sisters Judy, Peggy, and Betty. She is survived by her four children, Terry Jr. and his wife Sharon, Patricia, Vicki, and Dottie. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jenny Bogue and her husband Alex, Bailey Harrison Reese, and her great-grandchildren Lily Bogue and Corey Bogue.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024, 1:00 PM, at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 Hwy. 281 North, Marble Falls, TX, 78654. There will be a reception immediately following the service. Details to be provided.
