Thea Ruth Reed

Thea was born on December 30, 1938 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Lee and Elinor (Howe) McKinney. Thea retired from Straub/Sodexo Services in 2000 after 33 years. It has been sweater weather for her since she moved to Ohio four years ago. She loved to smile and laughing came easily to her. Very giving and generous, Thea was very charitable and always willing to help others in need. She was always ready to go on “girls day” for fun, laughing, and making memories. Thea enjoyed traveling, liked to read, sew, cats, and shopping for kitchen gadgets. She delighted in watching television, especially watching mysteries.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Frank) Robertson; her granddaughter, Misty Storey; four great-grandchildren; her brother, John Steven McKinney; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Rangel Reed; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Orlando Reed; her son, Robert Orlando Reed; and her sister in law, Jane McKinney.
