Bob was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 15, 1937, the second of three children of Charles and Marian Myers, both of whom preceded him in death.
He graduated from Penn Hills High School in Pittsburgh, PA in 1955. He served active duty with the United States Naval Reserve aboard the destroyer, USS NOA, throughout the Mediterranean Sea in 1956 and 1957.
Then he attended Penn State University (McKeesport, PA Branch) for two years and earned an associate degree in Drafting Design Technology. Following graduation, he worked in Engineering Departments of U.S. Steel Research and Mine Safety Appliances Company in the Pittsburgh area, then he began his Sales Engineer and Management career after relocating his family to Cincinnati, Toledo, and Mansfield Ohio cities.
Bob married Joyce Flaherty (Garverick) in 1982, and the couple spent the next 30 years in Florida, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, North and South Carolina, with a few periodic years in Ohio. Bob and Joyce loved to travel and take up residence in new cities. They resided in the Mansfield, Ohio area for the last ten years, Joyce passed away on December 24, 2022 in Bellville, Ohio.
He is survived by his children, Terri Nigrelli, David (Rebecca) Myers, Susan (Joel) Munn; his grandchildren Katie (Logan) Guess, Callie (Kyle) Barthel, Cole (Chloe) Myers, Parker Myers, Lauren Myers, Carson Munn, and Molly Munn; his great-grandchildren Banks Guess and Camille Myers; his sister-in-law Alma Myers; his step-children Stephanie (Pat) Kaine, Michael (Julie) Flaherty, and Rory (Missy) Flaherty; his step-grandchildren Nicholas Albertson, Jonathan Albertson, Bethany (Dathan) Hanners, Rose Flaherty, Torren Flaherty, Ashton Flaherty, and Peython Flaherty; his step great-grandchildren Liam and Logan Hanners; several cousins; and six nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and Joyce, Bob was preceded in death by his first spouse, Donna Payne, his brother, David Myers, and his sister, Jean Bowser.
Bob enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with people. A gathering of friends and family will take place at a later date followed by burial at Mt. Calvery Catholic Cemetery.
