Randy was born in Mansfield, Ohio on October 5, 1952. He was a proud soldier in the U.S. Air Force. An outgoing man, Randy never knew a stranger. He loved being with his family and friends, but loved being a grandfather best. With cane in tow, you could find Randy cheering on his grandsons as they wrestled, or played baseball and soccer. He also loved being a husband to the love of his life, Sherry Ramey.
Randy is survived by his daughter, Courtni White of Wilmington, North Carolina; two sisters, Karen and Rudy Fannin of Colorado and Patsy and Kim Edwards of Colorado; grandparents-in-law, Gerald and Jane Heflen of Mansfield; three sisters-in-law, Traci and Dana McCathran of Ohio, Pamela and Herb Grunau of Michigan and Michele New of North Carolina; son-in-law, Andrew Vogel of North Carolina; and three grandsons, Dyllan, Dalton and Carson White of North Carolina. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as many neighborhood children who considered him Grandpa.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Elberta (Wenner) Ramey; his wife, Sherry Lynn Ramey; son Brandon Ramey; and brother-in-laws, Mike Heflen and Rusty Emery.
A celebration of life will take place Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Real Life Community Church, 670 Kentucky Avenue, Mansfield Ohio.
