After years of courageously battling a variety of health issues, Ramona Lucille Kaufman succumbed to her most recent battle on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Ramona was born and raised here in Mansfield, Ohio.
Beyond her ability to constantly defy the odds, with regard to her health, Ramona was known for her selflessness, compassion, faith in God, and her never ending sense of humor, no matter what obstacles lay ahead.
Ramona loved her Cleveland sports teams and was a huge fan of THE Ohio State Buckeyes, but there is nothing in this world she cherished, spoke about, or was more proud of than her family.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Faye Banks; her sisters, Betty Malott and Mary Broach; and her sons, Michael Dorner, Chris Dorner, and Joey Dorner. She is survived by her sister, Carol Yoha; and her children, Lori Dorner-Squires, Steven Dorner, and Donald Kaufman. Her extended family includes fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Ramona was known to her friends by a variety of nicknames such as, Mony, Lucy, or Mona. To her kids, she was mom or mamma. To her grandkids, she was known as Gram, Gram Lucy, or Gram Cracker. But to the many that crossed paths with her, she will simply be remembered as a friend.
Now that she is no longer held back by the aged, failing and broken body, we know Ramona is up in heaven dancing again! You will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by those you impacted during your time here on Earth!
There will be no services or visitation observed. Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services by Wappner is honored to serve the family.
