Born December 23, 1954, in East Cleveland, Ohio, she was a Mansfield resident for the past 13 years. Michele served her country in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Maintenance Administrationman 3rd class from 1973-1975 on active duty and continued in the Naval Reserves for an additional 6 years.
Michele knew the importance of service. Whether she was giving someone a ride, sharing her home, feeding the stray cats, or sharing her world-famous cookies, she was always trying to extend her hand to someone in need. Michele leaves behind many friends and family who cherished and loved her and will miss her infectious smile.
She is survived by a son, Joshua Brest; two sisters, Rose Ciaralli and Sheila Magana; and many beloved friends. Michele is preceded in death by her parents, George and Julia Wager; son, Steven Venchiarutti; and two sisters, Georgia Petty and Carol Geraghty.
In lieu of flowers, bake a batch of cookies and share them in memory of Michele. Family and friends are invited to Ridgeway First Church of God, 1380 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, on September 30, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. for coffee, cookies and fellowship. Military honors will be presented by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail at 4:00 p.m. at the church.
