Michael A. Fagan, 71, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Arbors of Mifflin in Mansfield, Ohio. He was born February 6, 1947, in Shelby, Ohio, to Jacque Weber Fagan and Elsie Leota Jennings Fagan.
He graduated from Shelby Senior High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving during the Vietnam War. He worked as a corrections office at MANCI for 23 years. Mike was a family man and married the love of his life, Sharon L. Fanello, in 2004. He had his beloved Corgis, JoJo and Totty May for 15 years and now shared his time with his new Corgi, Sparky. In his free time, Mike loved woodworking, fishing and cooking.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 15 1/2 years, Sharon Fagan; three step children, Jeffrey (Crystal) Phelps, Jason (Corina) Phelps and Brian (Kathy) Phelps; seven grandchildren, Tanner, Brock, Kross, Kragan, Joey, Blake and Zack Phelps; and his mother, Elsie Fagan. He was preceded in death by his father, Jacque Weber Fagan; and father-in-law, Rocco Fanello.
The family would like to express special thanks to OhioHealth Hospice, Arbors at Mifflin, and neighbors, Chris and Helen, Bill and Sandy and Diane and Tom for their compassion and care.
There will be no visitation or service at this time. Wappner Cremation Center is privileged to serve the family.
