Jack “Jake” M. Miller Jr., 54, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital after a brief illness and was surrounded by his family. He was born in Shelby, Ohio on June 7, 1967 to Jack Sr. and Beverly (Harrah) Miller.
Jack was a graduate of Madison High School. Taking much pride in his work, he was a skilled plumber working for Mr. Rooter at the Columbus branch. Jack was always a giving, loyal and compassionate man. He not only was funny and quick-witted, but an all-around great guy. He loved his family and cherished the time they had together, especially time spent with his grandchildren. Jack enjoyed golfing, fishing, music and NASCAR. An avid fan of sports, he liked to watch the Cleveland Indians; he also enjoyed football and was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Tennessee Titans.
Jack was survived by his wife of 22 years, Ann Miller; children, Justin Stewart, Travis Miller, Haley Miller and Christina (Ian Willhelm) Miller; seven grandchildren, whom he adored, with one on the way; sister, Crystal (Daniel) Meyers; parents, Jack (Bev) Miller; sister-in-law, Melody (Roy) Barler; mother-in-law, Debra Morley; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and his beloved pet Chihuahua, Gabby. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Miller and father-in-law, James Morley.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 South Diamond St., Mansfield, Ohio 44902. A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 31, 2022 beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Dettmer officiating. He will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
