Don was formerly employed at Flxible Company. He was known as a jack-of-all-trades and great mechanic. He enjoyed collecting bald eagle memorabilia and pocket knives. Don was always joking around.
He is survived by his son, Donald Turner Jr. of Oakhill, WV; girlfriend of 9 years, Mary D. Smith of Bucyrus; four siblings, Peggy A. Nusbaum, Robert E. Turner, Roberta D. Hess, all of Mansfield and Ronald G. (Gloria) Turner of Perrysville; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Floyd VanMeter, Doris Kibler, Brenda L. Jolly, Linda Cummings and Barbara G. Turner.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Wappner Cremation Center, 1327 Ashland Road, Mansfield. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
