Debbie M. Saunders-Miller, 71, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. Born March 1, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio, she was the daughter of John Hugh and Marian M. (Gilbert) Kennedy.
A homemaker, Debbie’s family was most important to her and she was very family orientated. She loved kids and helped at Wooster Heights School and Richland School of Academic Arts as a teacher’s aide. She lived by the Golden Rule and honesty and being on time were her two most important rules. Debbie never met a stranger and would do anything for anyone.
Debbie was a very active and influential member of Ridgeway First Church of God and loved anything that had to do with water such as the ocean, sand and beaches. She liked race cars and watching her dad build them. Debbie enjoyed riding her horse Poncho. She also enjoyed any kind of music, dancing and in her younger years she liked riding motorcycles.
Debbie was a fighter and overcame many battles in her life.
She is survived by her husband, George Miller; her children, Dawn Saunders, Yvonne Saunders and William “Billy” (Jennifer) Saunders; her grandchildren, Jordan Brogan, Gabby Brogan, William Saunders III and Emily Saunders; and her step mother, Rose Kennedy; her brother, John (Grace) Kennedy; her sisters, Billy Jo (Rod) Yoder and Julie Kennedy.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Kennedy and her uncle, Buddy Kennedy.
A celebration of life for Debbie will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Ridgeway First Church of God, 1380 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, Ohio 44905 conducted by Pastor John Dodds. Family and friends may call prior to her celebration from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the church on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kids 4 Camp at Ridgeway First Church of God.
