William Ernest Johnson Sr., 71, of Manchester passed away at his home Wednesday October 24, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Newark, Bill had lived in Bloomfield, Verona and Cedar Grove before moving to Manchester 42 years ago. Bill worked as a Computer Analyst for a majority of his career and ended his career working for the County of Ocean in the Maintenance department.
Bill was one of the founding members of the Manchester United Soccer Club and a proud Band Booster Parent in Manchester. A past member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Manchester. Bill loved many things in life but most of all he loved his family, the Yankees, bowling, reading and a good bad joke or two. His sense of humor was infectious.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Pamela, his son William Jr. and his daughter Sandra Carter both of Manchester. He is also survived by his two grandsons, Christopher and Benjamin.
Family and Friends may gather Monday October 29, 2018 from 4-7 pm at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Rd., Manchester, NJ 08759 with services to be held Tuesday October 30, 2018 11 am at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
