Melody Sorge

Melody Sorge, age 68, of Jackson, NJ passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Born in Stated Island, NY, Melody grew up there and married Jim in 1975. They first lived in South Beach, Staten Island for 8 years before moving to Jackson, NJ where they resided since.

Melody worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in New York City in the Personnel Department and for Four Seasons Nursery and Landscape Company in Englishtown, NJ doing clerical work at both. Mel was very crafty in general, she enjoyed ceramics but excelled in embroidery. She loved animals and all of her dogs, especially her most recent one named Baby.

Melody is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 48 years, James “Jim” Sorge, her dear son James Sorge, Jr., her sisters; Susan Winters and her husband Wayne and Marilyn Reagan. She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Lillian Griffin, her oldest sister Arlene, and Marilyn’s husband John “Jay” Reagan.
