Kwame Adu Gyamfi, also known as Paa Kwame, 41, of Manchester, NJ, passed away on Monday October 19, 2020, at his home. Born in Kumasi, Ghana, he graduated from T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School. He immigrated to the United States in 2005. Kwame lived in Manchester for the past 15 years, amidst his loving family. He enjoyed cooking, dressing well and dancing. Kwame loved to travel around the world experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. Anyone who met Kwame could instantly see that he had a special gift for communicating with people and had a personality that was larger than life! Kwame lived life on his own accord. Anyone who knew him well knew that he had his own philosophical convictions and could not be easily influenced by the whims of others. He had an infectious and positive aura about him. It didn’t matter if you were a long-time friend, family member, or a stranger, he would treat you with the utmost hospitality and respect. He was the true embodiment of “Akwaaba,” a Twi term meaning “welcome”. As we remember our dear Kwame, let us remember how he lived, unabashedly, by his own principles and had a genuinely warm, generous outlook on life.
Kwame is survived by his mother Comfort Brefo, father Daniel Kuma, brother Peter Kuma and sister-in- law Alberta Obeng and sisters Oprah Kumah and Ama Kuma, daughter Maame Pomaah Gyamfi, niece Pomaah Kuma and nephews Daniel and Israel Kuma, uncles and aunts - Joe, Samuel, Helena, Mercy, Emmanuel, Agnes, Clifford and Seth, as well as many cousins and friends.
The family asks for your prayers as we celebrate the life of our beloved son, brother, nephew and friend.
