Elaine L. Borthwick

Elaine Borthwick (Nee) DelBoccio, 79 entered into eternal peace on Sunday, July 11, 2021 surrounded by family. Elaine was born and raised in Hoboken, NJ. She attended A.J. Demarest High School where she met the absolute love of her life, her “one and only” John Borthwick. Together they shared 59 beautiful years of marriage. Elaine and John settled in Weehawken and raised their 5 children. Elaine was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Family and sharing traditions were everything to her. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and decorating. She was a girl scout leader, loved hosting all the neighborhood kids and had endless visitors on holidays. Back in the day the Borthwick house was the place to be, and Mama B always welcomed and loved each and every person who walked through the door. In 2003, Elaine and John retired to the Renaissance in Manchester where she continued to host family and friends and enjoyed spending time with the girls in her knitting club.

She is predeceased by her husband John (2020). Devoted mother, she leaves behind her son John Borthwick and his wife Karen, Teri Sheridan and her husband Jim, Edward (Woody) Borthwick (deceased) and his wife Susan, Susan LaBianco and her husband John, and her beloved Nicky Borthwick. Cherished grandma of Joey and his wife Brittany, Erica and her husband Ian, Eddy and his fiancé Nicole, James, Steven, Luke, Julie, and Dominique. Proud great-grandmother of Jordyn and Joseph John “JJ”. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 3-6 PM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Manchester NJ, 08759.
