Born on July 13, 1938 in Manchester, NH, Bob was a lifelong resident of the city. He was the only son of John and Bertha (Gosselin) Goebel.
Bob retired from Velcro USA in 2000, and later worked as a part-time Court Officer for the Hillsborough Sheriff’s Dept.
As a young man, Bob was an avid scuba diver and skier. He also loved boating and fly-fishing. After retirement, Bob enjoyed gardening, perfecting his lawn, and “fixing” things around the house in his own unique way.
Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sheila; children, Heidi Milonas and her husband Marc of Bradenton, FL, Rob Goebel and his wife Natalya of Bluffton, SC and his daughter-in-law Nancy Goebel of Pembroke, NH. Bob was predeceased by his son, Gary Goebel in 2010. Grandchildren include Corey Goebel, Chelsey Osborne and Alex Milonas; and two great-grandchildren, Maverick and Cooper.
There will be no calling hours or services at this time. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the World Central Kitchen. Wck.org/donate.
