Ray, as he liked to be called, moved to Bristol, CT as a young man to apprentice in the Ingraham Clock factory. He joined the US Army in June 1942 and served at a number of posts before being sent overseas to serve in Paris, France. Upon his discharge he married his wife of 68 years Loretta A. Talbot.
After their marriage, they lived in Manchester, Gilford NH and Bristol, CT to continue his apprenticeship and pursue his career as a precision machinist. In 1954 he was recruited by the Hughes Aircraft Company in Culver City, CA. They lived in California for 10 years before relocating back to their home town of Manchester NH where he started his own business, the Micro-Tech Machine Company. He sold his business and retired in 1978 at the age of 60. He loved to travel and frequently drove across the country to visit relatives and friends in California. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
He was pre deceased by six brothers, Archille, Elzear, Napoleon, William, Joseph and Armand and three sisters, Marie Louise Corriveau, Yvonne Hamel and Casilde Bouchard.
He is survived by his wife Loretta; his daughter Jacqueline Wilson; son Peter J. Bouffard and grandson Shaun Wilson.
There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 15th at 9 AM in Holy Rosary Church, 21 Main St., Hooksett. Private burial with military honors will be in the NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr., Bedford NH 03110. The McHugh Funeral Home, 283 Hanover St. Manchester has been entrusted with the arrangements.
