She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret (Scott) McClary. Marion was educated through the Massachusetts Public School System and earned her high school diploma in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. After high school, she went on to achieve her Bachelors degree at Southern New Hampshire University in 1986. Marion was a quiet and simple woman who loved to get lost in reading, especially mystery novels. She belonged to various book clubs where members exchanged stories and enjoyed reviewing each other’s writings. Marion proudly published a children’s book called “Do Birds Have Ears?” During her lifetime, she served as an Accountant for United Way and held a position as the Treasurer of Litchfield for 12 years, where she lived for more than 40 years.
After retirement, she and her husband, Robert, spent their days living at the Brooksby Village Senior Living Community, where they enjoyed spending time with one another. She will always be remembered for her loving spirit.
Marion is survived by her loving husband of almost 54 years, Robert Cason; brother, David McClary and brother Kenneth McClary and his wife Lee; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Jack McClary and his wife Curly; and sister Judith and her husband Herbert Blackmon.
