He was born on May 8, 1941 in Manchester, NH to George P. and Laura (Guillemette) Gosselin. Born blind, Louis attended the Perkins Institute for the blind in Boston, Massachusetts, followed by his graduation at Bishop Bradley High School in Manchester. Louie went on to get his bachelor's degree from Boston College in Massachusetts and his Masters degree from Northwestern University in Kalamazoo, Michigan in Behavioral Sciences. Following his graduation, he pursued a career with the NH Association for the blind and worked with them until his retirement. He truly loved life and he didn’t let his disability deter him. He loved spending time with his family and friends, listening to music and the NPR radio. He is survived by nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his sister Juliette (Gosselin) Quilter, brothers Romeo Gosselin, Robert P. Gosselin, Albert Gosselin and Maurice Gosselin.

A visitation for Louis will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McHugh Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 283 Hanover St, Manchester, New Hampshire 03104. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne-St. Augustin Parish, 382 Beech St, Manchester, New Hampshire. A committal and burial will occur Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:30 AM at St. Augustin Cemetery, 383 Beech St, Manchester, New Hampshire.
