With extreme sadness we announce the death of Holly Robin Cheser of Parlin. Never was there a more loving and caring soul. There truly is a hole in the fabric of the world today.
Known for her infectious giggle and signature guffaw, her thoughtful and extremely plentiful gifts on birthdays and holidays, she lit up every room she entered for 68 years.
Holly was born in Plainfield and raised in Fanwood and Scotch Plains. She attended Alfred University and earned a degree in Psychology from Dever University and a degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. Holly worked for the State her entire career, first in the Disability Administration and then in then in the Department of the Treasury. She attained the position of supervising pension benefit specialist managing the counseling unit for the division. Holly also was an EMT in her community for many years.
Holly was devoted to and survived by her loving brother, Mark, and sister-in-law Sarah. She doted upon her nephew, Mathew, her niece, Alexandra, Alexandra’s husband Alex Ship, and her two grand nephews, Joshua and Henry. There is no doubt her memory is a blessing.
Shiva is at the home of her brother. Contact Beth El Synagogue in East Windsor for information. Donations in her name should be made to your favorite charity or J.F.K. neuro-CCU in Edison N.J.
