Elisa Zirkman-Baghsarian

Elisa Beth Zirkman-Baghsarian, age 56, of Freehold Township, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023. She was born on November 27, 1966 in Queens, New York to Eugene Friedman and Marsha Friedman-Cohen.

Mrs. Zirkman-Baghsarian was a clinical social worker and part of the child study team for the Old Bridge Township Public School System. She positively impacted the lives of many children throughout her career.

Elisa lead an athletic life enjoying competitive pickleball with the girls. She was always constantly on the move, enjoying hiking and traveling. Elisa loved food and to be wined and dined. One of her favorite places was Napa and going on wine tours. She was a shining star to her husband John and to the rest of her family and friends. Wherever she went, she lit up the room with her outgoing positive personality. Everyone loved Elisa!

Mrs. Zirkman-Baghsarian is survived by her mother Marsha Friedman-Cohen and her husband Albert Cohen; husband John Baghsarian, Jr.; her son Garrett Zirkman; sister Shari Berg and her husband Adam; nephew Jason Berg; nephew Ryan Berg; niece Lindsey Berg; niece Alyssa Zirkman; nephew TJ Zirkman; niece Sarah Zirkman; nephew Andrew Zirkman; nephew Max Zirkman; step-son Christopher Baghsarian; step-daughter Lauren Baghsarian; father-in-law John Baghsarian, Sr.; and brother-in-law Erik Baghsarian and his fiancée Renée Milatta.

Elisa was preceded in death by her father Eugene Friedman.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726 immediately followed by a committal service at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery, Route 79, Marlboro, New Jersey 07746.

Shiva will be observed at the residence Elisa and John shared on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elisa's memory may be made to the "American Cancer Society: Night of Wine and Roses / Ovarian Cancer" and mailed to Michael Nissenblatt, M.D. @ Astera Cancer Care, J2 Brier Hill Court, East Brunswick, New Jersey, 08816.
