Sean Brown

It is with great sadness that the family of Sean Brown of Barnegat, NJ announces his passing on Saturday, July 20, 2019. Sean was born on November 20, 1984 and was taken away from us too soon at the young age of 34. Sean was a loving husband of 12 years, a loving father of three, a loving son, brother and friend to many.

Sean was a Corrections officer at the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility in Crosswicks for six years. Prior to working at Garden state, he was a corrections officer at Trenton State for five years. Sean was a role model to many as well as a union representative for the local 105 of the Policeman’s Benevolent Association helping many officers during his distinguished 11 years of service. In 2016, Sean earned a medal of valor for protecting one of his fellow officers. Sean was a well-respected, well-liked and loved officer and will be missed by all.

Sean will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Chandrani, his children, Tristan, Sophia and Sabella; his parents Chris and Tom; his brothers Derek and Tommy, his fellow family of officers and the many people Sean has touched during his short life.

A visitation will be held at the Thos. L Shinn Funeral Home 10 Hilliard Drive from 12:00 Noon to 6PM on Thursday, July 25th. A funeral service will be held at 4:30 at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to our website at www.shinnfuneralhome.com
