Salvatore Anthony Maniscalco

He was predeceased by his father, Anthony Maniscalco and his mother, Carolyn Maniscalco.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Ann (Missy), his son, John and his wife, Kim, his daughter, Katherine Varacalli and her husband Peter, and his step-son, Kurt Schmitt and his wife Eileen. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Isabella, Madelyn, Christopher, and Daniel and Amy Schmitt and his sister, Lillian Maniscalco.

Sal retired from the NJ State Corrections Department as a Captain. Once retired, Sal continued to work as a civilian in the Corrections Department as a Hearing Officer for the Inmates Disciplinary Actions.

He was a Little League Coach for his son’s baseball team in Barnegat, NJ. He also enjoyed puttering around the house. Sal was an active member of AA.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 10:00am-11:00am at St. Mary’s of the Pines Church, Bishop Lane, Manahawkin, NJ with a Mass to follow at the church at 11:00am

In lieu of flowers, donations in Salvatore's name may be made to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, 200 Trenton Rd., Brown Mills, NJ 08015.
