Vada Virginia Martin

Vada Virginia “Jenny” Martin, 88, of Charleston, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 30, 2023. Jenny was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who loved her family and friends unconditionally. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Bible Missionary Church in Kanawha City where she attended services until she no longer was able, and she remained a devout Christian until her death. She retired from CAMC after 25 years as a Laundry Technician.

Jenny is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, LeeRoy Martin, who was sitting on a bench at Heavens gates patiently waiting on her with open arms as he always did. Her parents, Ira and Pearl Brogan; sisters, Eloise Lilly, Lucille McKinney and Doc Toler; brother, Ira “Sonny” Brogan; Grandchild, Sarah Martin; great-grandchild, Steven Johnson II; and nephews, Ira “Bo” Brogan and Paul Brogan.

Left to survive her precious memory are her children, Teddy(Beverly)Martin of Denver, NC; Debbie Harper of Old Town, FL; Steven(Kathy) Martin of Old Town, FL and Donna(Dwight) Johnson of Kanawha City, WV. siblings, Walter(Sandy) Brogan of Charleston, WV; Linda(Steve) Beck of Milton, WV and Willard(Sandy) Brogan of Kanawha City, WV; grandkids, Jennifer Johnson, Ricky Johnson, Steven Johnson, Dawson Johnson, Ashley Martin, Jonika Hazelett, Stephanie Martin, Chris Martin, Tara Comer, Amber Parks, Sherry Haper Jaquay and Jerry Wayne Harper; special family friend, Christa Burford; great-grandkids, Chandler and Alex Newell, Lyndsey and Zack Martin, Kayden Martin, Steven Johnson III, Jocelyn, Conchetta and Joey Cruz, LeeLee Cromwell, Lucy and Chloe Hazelett, Abby, Riley and Spencer Jaquay, Kyle and Paisley Harper. Jenny had 7 great-great grandchildren and a host of Nieces and Nephews.

Jenny will be missed by all who loved her as she was the BEST wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend anyone could have ever asked for. God knew he needed a special angel, and he handpicked her to receive her permanent wings just for him.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Stevens and Grass Funeral Home with Pastor Marty Smith officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service. Final resting place will follow at the family cemetery on Mt Alpha.
