Robert L. “Bobby” Taylor, 85, of Malden, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. Bobby was born in Charleston on February 1, 1931, to the late Robert and Mary Sneed Taylor. He was a retired clerk for C & O Railroad with 37 years of service. He was a member of the Corner Stone Community Church and an Army Veteran. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Retta Taylor; and several brothers and sisters. Bobby is survived by his wife, Anna L. Taylor; sons, Stephen (Virginia) Taylor of Ravenswood and Mark (Christine) Taylor of Charleston; step-daughter, Melinda (John) Szasz of Malden; sisters, Margaret Tuttle of Malden and Ruth Ann Hatcher of Ripley; brothers, Jimmy Taylor of Ripley and Johnny Taylor of Charleston; granddaughter, Brook Taylor (Nathan) Cooper of Rand; step-grandchildren, Laura Wyatt of Malden and Andrew (Kayla) Wyatt of Kenna; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. Claude Holley officiating. The burial will follow the service at Montgomery Memorial Park, London. A visitation with family and friends will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
