Rev. Richard "Rusty" D. Bright

Rusty was born in Charleston on February 7, 1945. He was a retired Carpenter with Kanawha County Board of Education; graduated from Charleston High School, ECPI and was an Electrician and a Certified Concrete Technician. He was an avid reader and outdoorsmen and a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. Rusty loved to help others in his community and was often called upon to fix things. He was the former pastor of the Wills Memorial Church in Chesapeake, WV.

Rusty was preceded in death by his mother, Lila Lee Bright and step-father, Orville Gunnoe.

He is survived by Carla Bright and Jack Pullen and Rita Sheppard all of Charleston.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday September 13, 2021 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Pastor Larry Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at the Crowder Cemetery at Cinco on Campbell’s Creek.

A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.

The Funeral Home along with the Bright family request all who plans to attend the services please wear a mask.
