Helen Louise Layton Casto, 84 of Sissonville, passed away Friday November 7, 2014 at CAMC Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Helen was born in Kanawha County on August 9, 1930 to the late Thomas & Opal Stone Wright. She was a home maker, a loving mother & grandmother and always seen that her family was taken care of. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Layton; son, Danny Layton; brothers, Narl, Robert and Jimmy Wright. She is survived by her daughters, Opal Page of Madison, OH, Patricia Gatens of Sissonville and Sherry Bardshaw of Madison, OH; sons, Gary Layton of Tad and George Leo Layton of Indiana; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday November 11, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden. Burial will follow at the Layton Cemetery on Springfield Drive, Campbell’s Creek. A visitation with family & friends will be held Monday November 10, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
