There was an Angel Watch of Family and Friends that saw her off with much love and many prayers, with a Special Great Niece who was vigilent until the very end, Gina DeBord Vanoy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wirth, her parents, Grovia and Victor Diehl; her sister, Helen Marie Southall and (Rondol) DeBord, and sister, Lena Mae King (Harry) Kincaid.
She is survived by her brother, Gale (Linda) Diehl of Letart, WV and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, who all loved her very much.
Ellen was a retired school teacher with 33 years of service of Ohio and West Virginia who took her love of teaching into the church as well. She was a lifetime member of KCARSE and WVARSE and a member of Farrar Baptist Church. She enjoyed serving The Lord by teaching and helping others in any way she could. She was an avid student of the Bible and enjoyed cooking, sewing and crafts.
Ellen was very close to her family and enjoyed visiting and spending time with her nephew, David and his wife, Genevia DeBord of Parkersburg, WV and all of their children and grandchildren especially little Harrison who is only 8 months old.
She will be greatly missed by her niece, Sandra who was more like a sister to her and her great niece, Chrissy DeBord-Holstein. She is also survived by a faithful caregiver of over five years, Mrs. Fran Simon and her faithful companion of many years, Jimmy Mannon; also, best friends, Irma Warden, Peggy Handley and Sylvia "Jerri" Lewis.
