Matthew D. Zaleski, age 47, of Madison Heights, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2022. He is the beloved son of Louise (Bob) Campbell and the late David Zaleski; Loving brother of Suzanne Zaleski; Dear nephew of uncle Bud (Laurie) Long and aunt Genevieve (The Late Michael) Zaleski; Treasured cousin of Michael Zaleski, Mark Zaleski, Jonathan Long, Jennifer Long- Harlin, Stephanie Long-Polanco and a host of second cousins and great-cousins.
Matthew was a man of many facets. He loved art and vivid colors and had created a stencil design of his own. His creative abilities also included musical talents. Matthew was a guitar player and in his younger years had played in a band. He also experimented in gardening, and though there were some plant fatalities, Matthew was successful in growing vegetables, particularly tomatoes. In junior high and high school Matthew had participated in school sports, specifically football and wrestling. Matthew was also a collector of currency, mint coins and bills. He will be remembered by his family as a proud man who sought to succeed in his goals in life. They are proud of what he had accomplished for himself. He was a good son, and will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11 AM, at Woodside Bible Church, 3620 Rochester Road, Royal Oak, MI 48073, with a luncheon reception to follow immediately after the service also at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals of Michigan or Forgotten Harvest.
