Wilma Ziegler

Wilma was born on August 17, 1933 to the late Albert and Estelle (Berg) Stern in the Bronx, NY. In 1951, Wilma met her beloved husband, Leon (Lee) Ziegler, with whom she shared nearly 65 years of marriage and a life full of adventure.

Wilma was predeceased by her husband, Lee; sons, Daniel and Andrew; and brother, Sandy Stern. Wilma is survived by her daughter, Karen (Leonard) Nolan; grandson, David (Maren) Nolan and their children, Marley and Lennox; granddaughter Melissa (Michael) Anthony and their children, Michael and Haley; and cousin, Elaine Sands.

Wilma lived a long and exciting life. In her final act, Wilma thrived. She surrounded herself with her loving family, great friends, and favorite hobbies.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Road, Madison, Connecticut 06443. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization Wilma felt strongly about.
