John DiStefano was born to John and Carmen DiStefano on August 14, 1954 and grew up in Middletown, CT. He attended Xavier High School and Saint Joseph College in Maine. John worked as a jet engine assembler at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft for 15 years. He also served in the District of Colombia (380th transportation battalion) and Connecticut Army National Guard as a tank engineer for 6 years.
John is preceded in death by his father John and mother Carmen DiStefano. John is survived by his wife Donna, sons Christopher (Shontel) and Daryl (Nihayah) and two granddaughters Ka’ Maiyah and Dari’Yana DiStefano. In addition, he leaves behind his sister Phyllis (Allen) Sedlock, brother Paul (Lynn) DiStefano, nieces and nephews Meghan (Howard) Brady, Rebecca (Ali) DeAngelo , Brian DiStefano, and Derek (Emma) DiStefano.
The family of John DiStefano would like to extend our sincere thanks to the wonderful Hospice team at Home Care Plus Community Healthcare and Hospice.
Funeral visitation services will be held at the Swan Funeral Home in Madison, CT on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 from 8:30am -10:30am, followed by a mass at the Saint Lawrence Church in Killingworth, CT at 11:00am. A burial will follow at the Evergreen cemetery in Killingworth.
