Woodrow Wilson Hemingway, Jr., age 70, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024. The family will greet friends from 1:00pm - 2:00pm, Monday, February, 12, 2024 at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. Memorial services will follow at 2:00pm with Bishop Shawn D. Smith officiating.
Mr. Hemingway was born June 1, 1953, in Gresham, South Carolina to the late Woodrow Wilson Hemingway, Sr. and Frances Helen Henry Hemingway. He was a self-employed truck driver leased to J Transport. Mr. Hemingway loved anything that went fast, whether it be race cars, motorcycles or trucks. He was also a talented "Big Rig" mechanic. He was preceded in death by a brother: Paul Hemingway.
Mr. Hemingway is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years; children: Rolando Decker (Michele), Sheron Decker (Latifah) and Ellirose Hemingway; sisters: Helen Tucker (Kevin), Patricia Davis and April King; brother: Anthony Hemingway (Rowena); grandchildren: Tori, Nya, Keontae, Seaira, Aomori and Naishaun; sister-in-law: Geraldine Linwood Brown; nephew, who he viewed as a son: Jomel Giron along with numerous other nephews and nieces who were very dear to his heart.
