William "Billy" "Paw-Paw" G. Hicks Jr.

William G. “Billy” Hicks, Jr., 79, died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at his residence. Services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Lizella United Methodist Church with Pastor Loran Smith officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Glenn Cook, Alan Hicks, Josh Price, Clay Hicks, Zachary Hicks and William Letson. The family will meet friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Monday, February 11, 2013 at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue and may be contacted at the residence, 8124 Lower Thomaston Road, Lizella, Ga.

Billy Hicks, the son of the late Willie G Hicks, Sr. and Fannie M. Hicks, was preceded in death by his wife, Marian Stokes “Bebe” Hicks. Billy, a life-long resident of Lizella, is survived by his six children: Win (Mitzie) Hicks of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Valerie (Greg) Stewart of Macon, Olin (Carol) Hicks, Steve (Donna) Hicks, Roger (Karen) Hicks, and Hope Letson, all of Lizella, 14 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lizella United Methodist Church Building Fund or Hospice Care Options, Warner Robins, GA.
