William Thomas Exum

William Thomas Exum, age 79, passed away May 20, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Vineville United Methodist Church with Reverend Teresa Edwards officiating. Visitation will be held immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Belle Meade Hunt Foundation Inc., P.O. Box 60, Thomson, Georgia 30824.

Mr. Exum was born in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Thomas Pate and Vivian Lee Exum. He was an attorney in a private law firm for over 50 years in Macon, Georgia. He enjoyed all sports and activities that his children and grandchildren found passion. Foxhunting with Belle Meade Hunt, rock climbing, camping, attending their athletic competitions, four years as Boy Scout Troop 19 Master with the Central Georgia Council. He served as an Army Captain and as a Military Police officer in Korea for 2 years.

Mr. Exum was a member of the Macon Exchange Club and was the Chapter Advisor for Phi Delta Theta at Mercer University. He was a member of Vineville United Methodist Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sneden Exum; children, Winser (Mike), Mollie (Henry), William Thomas Exum Jr. (Miriam), and Vivia (Jeffery); grandchildren Elizabeth, Madeline, Meredith, Schuyler, Eleanor, and Amelia.
