William “Bill” D. Fowler, 70 went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 05, 2013. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Word Aflame Tabernacle, 1780 Tucker Road, Macon GA with Pastor Ron Linville officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will meet friends on Friday, June 7, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Word Aflame Tabernacle, 1780 Tucker Road, Macon GA 31220.
He was born in Louisville, IL to the late William H. and Mary Charlotta Fowler, and was preceded in death by his sister, Louann O’Dell. Mr. Fowler was retired from Robins Air Force Base after thirty one years of service and the William D. Fowler Substation and Fowler Street on Robins Air Force Base was named in his honor. He was a member of Word Aflame Tabernacle for almost forty one years.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty nine years, Gussie Vee Fowler of Macon, brother, Ralph E. Fowler of Clay City, IL and sister, Sue (Lynn) Bailey of Louisville, IL and other family members, his beloved church family and friends.
