Wesley Mac Wood

Wesley Mac Wood, 40, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road with the Rev. Carl Ellington officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:30 p.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Wesley was born in Macon, Georgia on March 27, 1981 to Jerry M. and Cherry G. Wood. He was the Sales Manager with Capitol Cycle where he had worked for twenty years. Wesley was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his beloved wife of ten years, Ashley Gurley Wood, his son whom he adored, Braxton Wood, parents, Jerry and Cherry Wood, sister, Amy (Jim) MacDonald, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fielding and Audrey Gurley, sister-in-law, Shana (Chris) Yaughn, brother-in-law, Tate Smith, nieces and nephews, Brandon MacDonald, Kaylee MacDonald, Cayden Grace Yaughn, Parker Smith, Sadie Smith, Asher Yaughn and Britton Smith and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family requests friends to drop by 505 Maynard Church Road, Forsyth, Georgia, 31029 following the service.
