Vivian Donaldson Carter, 81, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 20, 2021 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Dr. Mark Hudgins will officiate. Entombment in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery will be private. The family will begin greeting friends at 10:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Carter was born in Macon, Georgia the daughter of the late Dovie Skinner Donaldson and Sidney Edward Donaldson and was preceded in death by a brother, Sidney Donaldson, Jr. and a step-son, Kevin Carter. She was a retired cosmetologist having worked for many years at various shops. She was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Mrs. Carter was a joy to be around and everyone loved being with her. She will be sadly missed and truly loved her Lord and Savior. Flowers were an important part of her every day life. Remember her every time you see a beautiful one or smell the fragrance of one.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her husband, Jimmy W. Carter of Macon; children, Marlene Dalton (Phil) of Macon and Jan Burke (Rick) of Jeffersonville; 5 grandchildren; step-son, David Carter (Dawn); 3 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-granddaughter; and sister, Gwen Long.
