Shirley Frances Weaver

Shirley Frances Blackburn Weaver, 80, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016. A celebration of her life will be held at the family residence on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Reflections Hospice, 202 E. 4th, Cordele, GA 31015.

Shirley was born in Metter, Georgia to the late Henry Thomas and Clara Belle Watson Blackburn. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Lamar Mason. She was of the Christian faith and was a member of the Eastern Star, Rutland Chapter. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin Weaver of Byron, daughter; Lynn Weaver McCraney (Tim Vick), granddaughter; Kathryn Sawyer McCraney, son; Thomas Weaver (Kelly), grandson; William Daniel Weaver, son; Christopher Joseph Weaver (Michelle),grandsons; Nicholas Joseph Weaver, Benjamin Thomas Weaver and William Lee Weaver, brother; Jerry Blackburn (Judye), sister; Patty Sue Blackburn Mason.
