Sara P. Carson

Sara Purvis Carson, 85, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. David Hunter officiating. The family will meet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carson was born in Alamo, Georgia to the late Dennis Lamar and Mary C. Purvis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Arnold Carson. Mrs. Carson was retired from C&S Bank and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She was survived by her daughters, Patsy (Mike) Peterson of Lawrenceville, GA, Pamela Carson of Macon, Peggy Fellows of Macon, Penny (Mike) Rupert of Watkinsville, GA, seven grandchildren, Carson (Val) Peterson of Birmingham, AL, Amy Peterson of Lawrenceville, GA, Jeffrey Peterson of New York, Christina (Scott) Walker of Abilene, TX, Perry Rupert of Watkinsville, Riley Rupert of Watkinsville, and Weston Rupert of Watkinsville, brother, Charles (Sarah) Purvis of Milledgeville, sisters, Norma Goings of South Carolina and Lynn (Michael) Connor of Atlanta and several nieces and nephews.
