Ruth Johnson Parrish, 92, joined her Lord and Savior, Sunday, March 4, 2018. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Porterfield Baptist Church. The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Immediately following the service, Ms. Parrish will be laid to rest in New Elim Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Sam Waldron and Pastor Chris L. Dotson will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Porterfield Baptist Church, 2910 Allen Road, Macon, GA 31216 or the donor’s favorite charity.
Born in Macon, Ms. Parrish was the daughter of the late Joseph Ephriam Johnson and Edna R. Gentry Johnson. She was preceded in death by an infant son, her brother, Joe Johnson and her sister, Velta Johnson. Ms. Parrish was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a member of Porterfield Baptist Church.
Ms. Parrish is survived by several nieces and nephews.
