Mack was preceded in death by Ollie and Sarah Brown of Washington, Georgia.
Mack grew up in Little Five Points area of Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from Bass High School where he lettered in football. Mack continued his education at Southern Technical Institute graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Mack then started his life-long career with the Georgia Department of Transportation. Mack’s 35-year legacy is visible every day because of his contribution in mapping every major federal highway and state route in Georgia.
Mack was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and by the Grace of God a Great-Grandfather.
Mack remained close friends with his Bass High School classmates. For many years they reunited annually at Manuel’s Tavern.
Mack’s love of sports and nature stayed with him his entire life.
Mack is survived by: his loving wife of 38 years Kathy Pyles Brown of Forsyth, Georgia; his children Kenneth Scott Brown (Susan) of Dalton, Georgia, Richard Theodore Brown (Dianne) of Winder, Georgia; his stepchildren Kimberly Smith-Turner/deceased (Lawrence) of Lewisville, Texas, Gary Roger Smith, Jr. (Kelly) of Shellman Bluff, Georgia; his grandchildren Jaimie Dewberry (John) of Charleston, South Carolina, Stryker Brown (Jenna) of Dalton, Georgia, Laura Beth Maloof (Tanner) of Winder, Georgia, Landon Brown of Winder Georgia; his great-grandchildren Laine and Sophie Brown of Dalton, Georgia, Mack Maloof of Winder Georgia.
