Mackey Lamar "M.L." Clark

Mackey Lamar “M.L.” Clark, Jr. 94, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022 surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jason Dillard officiating. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to The Methodist Home for Children and Youth, 304 Pierce Ave., Macon GA 31204.

M.L. was born in Dublin, Georgia to the late Mackey Lamar Clark, Sr. and Alma Hinson Clark. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Phillip “Pee-Wee” Clark. He served his country in the United States Navy and was retired from the Naval Reserves as a Master Chief. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Labor. M.L. was a member of Gray United Methodist Church and was a 60 Degree Mason with the Serenity Lodge in Gray. He was an avid golfer in his younger years. M.L. was involved with American Legion Baseball Teams and a former President of Vine Ingle Little League. He was a volunteer baseball coach at River North Academy and Stratford Academy. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.

He is survived by his wife, Marianne Hill Clark; children, Alethea Clark (Dennis) Cook, Ashley Clark, Rebecca Clark Kerner; grandchildren, Christopher (Kelly) Tillery, Beth (Robert) Greene; great grandchildren, Sarah Greene and Abby Tillery. He will be missed by the Cook and Rinauro families and their children.
