Josephine D. Jones, 87, passed away on Thursday, July 04, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Garry Berrier will officiate. The family will greet friends beginning one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Macon Evangelistic Church, 4500 Chapel Hill Drive, Macon 31206.
Mrs. Jones was born in Macon and was the daughter of the late Christine Adamson Huffman and Robert H. Huffman. She was retired after 32 years of service as a telephone supervisor of First National Bank. Mrs. Jones was a member of the PBX Club with Southern Bell, the Order of the Eastern Star, and Macon Evangelistic Church. She was a graduate of Wesleyan College and loved music and playing the violin.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband of 50 years, Thomas B. Jones of Macon; cousin, Josephine “Big Jo” of Tennessee.
