Jeanne Yvonne Garvin Howell

Jeanne Yvonne Garvin Howell was born in Macon GA on August 14, 1963 and resided in Gray GA. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s at Macon Memorial Park. Burial to follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Reverend Terry Hedden and Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to the time of service.

She is known as a devoted and loving wife, aunt, sister, daughter, mother, mimi and best friend. Although Jeanne graduated with a bachelors, masters and specialist degrees in early childhood education from Mercer, she is most known for the impact she made not only in every student she taught, but in each of their families. She was not just passionate to teach, but cared deeply for each child. Although Jeanne was retired from 34 years of service, she was often attending graduations or family events of her former students. She never forgot a single student.

Any person that ever met Jeanne would say she was one of the funniest, kindest, most giving people you would ever meet. She would light up any room with her laughter, jokes or bright colored shoes. Her devotion to love and care for her husband of almost 30 years and her mother was the perfect example of the love of Jesus. Every person that met Jeanne has a memory or story to tell.

She is survived by her mother Betty Jean Garvin of Perry GA, sister Teresa (Barry) Wilder of Tellico Plains TN, Nephew Nicholas (Talisha) Eddy of Augusta GA, great nieces Peyton Eddy and Brianna Mask and great nephew Alex Mask. Step Children Joey (Missy) Howell of New York, Jason (Sunni) Kiser of Gray GA, and Kenny Howell of Statesboro GA and grandchildren Lexi (Wyade) Kiser and Laci (Ryan) Roughton and Axel Howell. She is also survived by her ‘sister from another mister’ Karen (Tony) Gore and children Spencer (Stephanie) Gore, Kaley (Patrick) Campbell, and Madelyn (Noah) Faulkner and grandson Nolan Gore, Tim and Cindy Ingram and daughter Anna. She is predeceased by father Marion Ellis Garvin, husband Joseph “Danny” Howell.

It was best said ‘’May her quick-witted sense of humor, her love of all things leopard print and her impeccable style (especially her cherished cowboy boots) live on in us forever”…
