James Michael “Mike” Sapp, Jr., 49, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 @ 1:00 p.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mike was born in Macon, Georgia to the late James Michael Sapp, Sr. and Luride Gore, and stepmother, Tammie Sapp. He was a graduate of Twiggs County High School. Mike was an avid NASCAR fan and was a hard-working simple man. He was a devoted and loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin.
He is survived by his son, James Michael Sapp, III of Twiggs County, step-daughters, Destiny Carbajal and MacKenzie Baggett, step-mom and dad, Carla (Benny) Heinzelmann of Forsyth, sisters, Michelle Khouri (Kris Hight) of Columbus, GA, Belinda (Chad) Mathis of Byron, step-brother, Brandon Shelton, grandchildren, Jack and Ezekiel Carbajal, nieces and nephews, Ashely Souther, Emily Mandeville, Taylor, Amber and Ashton Mathis, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and his beloved dog, “Tank”.
