Evelyn Purvis Bradley, of Lake Sinclair, 84, died peacefully on April, 12, 2016 after a brief illness. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210.
She was a graduate of the Macon Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. Her career in nursing span over 40 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In her retirement years, she was able to enjoy her love of the outdoors, including gardening, bird watching and lake living on Lake Sinclair. Her love of her children and grandchildren was apparent through her participation and involvement in their lives and activities.
Mrs. Bradley is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Edward N. Bradley, Sr., adult children: Teresa Bradley Bioust (Fred Bioust) of Dunwoody, GA, Edward N. Bradley, Jr. of Macon and Mark D. Bradley (Cissy Bradley) of Macon. Grandchildren: Justin A. Bradley (Hollie Bradley) of Macon, Julie Anne Bradley and Douglas Bradley of Macon. Great Grandchild, Clara Rose Bradley, daughter of Justin and Hollie Bradley. Mrs. Bradley is also survived by siblings, James A. Purvis (Fleta Purvis) of Macon and Jean Purvis Cannon of Evans, GA.
