Eloise A. Smith

Eloise A. Smith, 82, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 formerly of Macon. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s Funerals and Cremations at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. In lieu of flowers, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.

Eloise was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Charlie Nathan Avery and Annie Lucille Rowell Avery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Alton Smith and her siblings, Horace, Charlie, Agnes, JoAnn, and Laverne. Eloise was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Quality Sands Inc. She enjoyed a good cup of coffee, reading, painting, bowling and loved to dance. Her most precious gift was her family. She loved to spend time with family and was such a joy to be around.

She is survived by her son, Randy (Tina) Lee of McDonough, grandchildren, Chuck (Ashley) Lee, Justin Lee, Blake (Renee) Lee, Tyler Lee, Gavin (Kaci) Lee and Amber Lee, two great grandchildren, Isabella and Noah Lee, and several nieces and nephews. She was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank all those who provided such great care to her over the years. A special thanks to Grady Hospital and her NP, Kayla Jones who loved her like family.
