Edna Dorothy Russo

Macon- Edna Dorothy Russo, 90, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 2:00PM at Lakeview Baptist church with the Rev. Mark Grinsted officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:30 till service time at the church. Interment will be at 10:00AM, Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in Evergreen Cemetery in Charlotte, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to: Lakeview Baptist Church Building fund, 7065 Mosley Dixon Road, Macon, Georgia 31220 or Methodist Home for Children, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204.

Mrs. Russo was the widow of Anthony John Russo and Roy B. Cates. She was born in Durham, NC to the late Cornelia Alice Card and Arthur Spencer Card. She was in the restaurant business in Charlotte and Myrtle Beach, SC, before moving to Macon. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Mrs. Russo was preceded in death by her daughter: Jeannie Griffin Johnson.

Mrs. Russo is survived by her daughters: Joanne Griffin of Kings Mountain, NC and Judy (Pete) Peterman of Macon; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; nephews: Jerry (Joyce) Luquire of Columbus, GA and Earl Conway of Myrtle Beach, SC.
