Dorothy Berneice Cannon Trussell “Nanners”, 90, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 surrounded by her family. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 2:00pm at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with Pastor Willie Crosby officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 1:00pm until service time at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to Hospice Care Options, 486 New Street, Macon, 31201.
Dorothy was born in Macon, Georgia to the late John Dallas and Bertha Warren Cannon. She was retired as a data processing clerk from Robins Air Force Base and was a member of First Christian Church of Centerville. Dorothy was very active in her church and dearly loved her family.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jule “Jack” Trussell (“D-Dadders”); children, Barbara Skipper, Billy Jones, Dianne McLemore, and Renee Trussell (K.C.) Harris ; grandchildren, Kyle Harris, Nikki Harris, Lori Mock, Clay Mathis, Bo Skipper, Karen Chaney and Kathy Mason; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; “adopted sons”, Mickey Pierce and Willie Crosby; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Hospice Care Options, especially Mandy Chaney and Todd Shearin, for their loving care and compassion.
