Cynthia Cox Loyd, 60, passed away on Thursday, November 14th at a local hospital. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 18th at 3 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer with the Reverend Dr. James C. Braswell officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service in the church. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 390 Pierce Avenue, Macon 31204 or the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Macon 31201.
Mrs. Loyd was born in Paducah, KY to the late Dorothy Vannerson Cox and Rupert Cox. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. Mrs. Loyd was a restaurant manager at Tucker’s BBQ and formerly worked with her mother at the Canary Cottage on Walnut Street. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Loyd; her son, Adam (Jessica) Urquhart; step-son, Will (Tiffany) Loyd; grandchildren, Alex Urquhart, Bailey Murphy; step-grandchilden, Forrest, Lucas and Cole Loyd; sister, Melody Barrett; niece, Michelle (Bryan) Mueller and nephew, Michael Janssen.
