A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Allen officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, 31201.
Curtis was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia to the late Locksley and Nora Davis Hart and was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Betty Allen Hart. He was retired from the United States Air Force in aircraft maintenance. After his retirement from the military, he began his career as an insurance agent with Nationwide, then later with Alfa, and eventually became an independent agent. Curtis was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and later became a member of Riverside United Methodist Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his sons, Allen Hart (Susan) of Herndon, Virginia and Wayne Hart (Cindy) of Statesboro; grandchildren, Erin Hart, Kyle Hart (Maria), Ashley Hart and Abby Hart; and many nieces and nephews.
